Monday night&#8217;s action means school trustees have cut the tax rate three times now in the last five years. Director of Finance Michelle Tate says &#8220;Lindale ISD is blessed with a supportive community, that has approved prior tax increases to fulfill the past needs of the school District.&#8221; an she said they &#8220;are pleased to be able to lower the tax rate 3.5 cents this year due to the growth of the district and financial planning of the district\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s finances.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here are the current tax rates for the 2015-2016 school year.<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2\tM\/O Tax Rate- $1.08<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2\tI\/S Tax Rate- $0.32<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2\tTotal Tax Rate- $1.40<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a2\tLast Year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Tax Rate- $1.435<\/p>\n<p>According to school board president Max Watts, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153This rate reduction further demonstrates the District\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s commitment to providing a quality education to all students and responsibly managing our finances<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LINDALE &#8212; The Lindale School Board has approved a 3.5 cent tax cut.
