The accident happened around 12:15 Tuesday afternoon as the men were welding on a damper device that was filled with a nitrogen bladder. Investigators say the explosion occurred when the device possibly overheated. One worker was airlifted to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. The other worker is being treated at Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall.
