The wreck occurred shortly after 12:15 Monday afternoon about 7 miles west of Nacogdoches, at the intersection of Highway 7 and Farm Road 2782. Killed was Blanca Abrego-Gonzales, 69, of Douglass. The Department of Public Safety reports she was a passenger in a SUV that failed to yield at a stop sign and hit a pickup driven by Joe Stephen Howell, 38, of Mexia.
