According to a news release, the new hospital will be located on the northwest corner of Cumberland Road and Broadway Avenue in south Tyler. Construction on the initial three-story, multi-million-dollar hospital is expected to begin by the end of the year with a projected opening in the third quarter of 2016. The initiative is expected to create more than 100 permanent jobs in the Tyler area.  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We are pleased to offer this community access to additional TMF hospital services for Tyler residents as the region continues to grow,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Lindsey Bradley, FACHE, president, Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153When you have an emergency, minutes count. Our new Community Hospital will provide care for emergent medical needs, admit patients for routine hospital care or stabilize and transfer patients needing complex care to our main facility.&#8221;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As part of the expansion, Trinity Mother Frances has entered into a joint venture agreement with Emerus to build and manage the site and to lay the groundwork for additional facilities throughout the region. TMF officials call Emerus a nationally recognized innovator in the delivery of efficient medical care. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We are honored to partner with Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics as they expand their footprint throughout Tyler and East Texas,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Dr. Toby Hamilton, MD, FACEP, and CEO of Emerus. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The evolution that is taking place at Trinity Mother Frances will position them as the region\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s leader in the delivery of efficient, cost-effective, community-based health care now and into the future.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The new community hospital will offer the same high-quality services, including emergency medical care, inpatient care and other comprehensive health services that are found throughout TMFHC\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s larger campus facilities, according to the news release.<br \/>\n Officials say this hospital facility differs from urgent care centers in that most are designed only to handle simple, non-life-threatening medical complaints, often during regular or extended business hours. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Providing access to high-quality health care is foundational to the mission of Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Ray Thompson, FACHE, executive vice president and chief operating officer. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153By partnering with Emerus and building this community hospital, we will serve the people of East Texas with compassion, efficiency and excellence and maintain our high standards for quality, safety and service.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Officials say the new community hospital will be staffed by board-certified physicians, experienced nurses, and other clinical specialists. According to the news release, those personnel will be dedicated to providing the same level of compassionate, patient-focused care found at TMFHC\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s existing hospital locations. TMF officials say the first level will be composed of a comprehensive emergency department, inpatient wing, and quick-access lab services. The second level will house a full-scale imaging center along with multiple primary care and specialty physicians, according to the news release.
