The accident happened between 3:00 and 4:00 Sunday morning on Interstate Highway 20 near Winona. The Department of Public Safety reports Dallas-area resident Ouiang Pei, 48, lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll several times. Pei was then ejected into the middle of the roadway. An 18-wheeler, driven by Bruce Leissen, 54, of South Carolina, then struck the vehicle and ran over Pei. The 18-wheeler then ran into a barrier. Pei was pronounced dead at the scene.
