The annual convention is an opportunity for student journalists to compete in on-site competitions and be recognized for work from previous publications.  The Talon staff received \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Best of Show\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in Div. II, one of five divisions. The staff also received \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Best Website Navigation\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and an honorable mention for \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Best Online Interactivity\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in Div. II as well as third place in \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Overall Excellence\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in Div. III. <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ktbb.com\/post\/wp-content\/media\/2015\/04\/UT-Tyler-Dilly-w-Award.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ktbb.com\/post\/wp-content\/media\/2015\/04\/UT-Tyler-Dilly-w-Award-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"UT Tyler Dilly w Award\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-347315\" \/><\/a>In addition, Talon adviser Kevin Dilley was named the 2015 Charles T. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Chuck\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Choate Memorial Adviser of the Year. TIPA annually selects an adviser to receive this honor, and advisers must have at least three years of service at a TIPA member institution to be considered.  \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m very honored to be chosen for this recognition,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Dilley, who also serves as a senior lecturer within the department. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I share this award with Bonnie Davis, who put together the nomination and who does such a great job as the Talon business coordinator that I am able to focus more on advising.
