According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on the night of July 31, Glynda Denise Morrow, 54, Chandler, was driving on County Road 1113, also known as Lake Placid Road, in Smith County with her 5-year-old granddaughter. According to accident reports, Morrow\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s SUV ran off the road and hit a tree. Both Morrow and her granddaughter, Lydia Sykes, were taken to the hospital. The child later died from her injuries.
