According to KETK, the Kilgore Fire Department says it received a call for assistance on a vehicle accident at around 10:54 a.m. By that time, the Gregg County Sheriff&#8217;s Office had already received multiple reports of a vehicle traveling east in the westbound lanes.  Authorities later learned an &#8220;older man&#8221; had been driving the wrong way. His vehicle caused several crashes involving two 18-wheelers and four other vehicles, including his own.  The man&#8217;s vehicle came to rest near exit 589A inside Kilgore city limits.   Multiple minor injuries were reported, and the man who is believed to have caused the wrecks was taken to a Longview hospital.
