The purpose of the project is to widen the section of road from two lanes to four lanes. Traffic will be limited to eastbound only from McCann to Judson. Westbound bound must use alternate routes. The closure will be effective through summer 2015. This project was approved by voters as part of the Capital Improvements Bond Election in May 2011. The project is being constructed by East Texas Bridge of Longview.
