It happened around 4:00am at the Front Street railroad crossing. A preliminary investigation shows the man, identified as Corey Lane Walker, 25, Troup, was about 100 feet away from the crossing when he tried to beat the train on foot. Officials said Walker didn&#8217;t make it across and was fatally hit by the train.
