According to Everett Owen, Interim Executive Director of the North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority, the toll rate adjustments are not new. It was decided back in February that the rate adjustments would be incremental during the 2014 calendar year to bring Tyler closer to the state average. Revenue will be used to maintain and expand the toll road.
