According to KETK and the Longview news-Journal, Jeremy Chad Tidwell was named in a sealed indictment in November by a federal grand jury on five charges along with his wife, Shanna Peek Tidwell. His brother, Brian Tidwell, was indicted on three related charges.  All three were arrested in a Dec. 3 raid on the stores by the Drug Enforcement Administration and representatives from area law enforcement agencies. The charges involve the selling of K-2, or so-called synthetic marijuana. The federal agency began investigating the case in March. <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>As a condition of Tidwell\u2019s release on bond, U.S. Magistrate John D. Love ordered that Tidwell not operate any of his stores to sell illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia.  In Thursday\u2019s motion to clarify pretrial conditions of bond submitted by Tidwell\u2019s attorney, Gregg Waldron, Tidwell seeks to sell a range of items pertaining to e-cigarettes from the store.  Tidwell asks the court\u2019s permission to open one store, \u201cfor the purpose of selling E cigarettes and the liquids used in the smoking of these cigarettes, battery chargers, stick incense, burners, candles, lighter, detox, ashtrays, and clothing.  None of these items are illegal or banned by any state or federal regulation,\u201d the motion states.  <\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office has moved to seize all three stores, the Tidwells\u2019 Gilmer home, about $5 million in cash, and other property.  There was no response from the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office to the Thursday motion in the case file. The office did oppose his release on bond at a Dec. 5 hearing in Tyler.
