Mabry announced. 899 degree candidates were recognized in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center. <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>The commencement schedule was:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7      College of Nursing and Health Sciences \u2013 3 p.m. Dec. 12<br \/>\n\u00b7      College of Arts and Sciences \u2013 6 p.m. Dec. 12<br \/>\n\u00b7      College of Business and Technology \u2013 10 a.m. Dec. 13<br \/>\n\u00b7      Colleges of Education and Psychology and Engineering \u2013 1 p.m. Dec. 13<\/p>\n<p>State Rep. Matt Schaefer served as the commencement speaker for all four ceremonies. President Mabry gave remarks. Dr. Ross Sherman, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs, presented and certified doctoral degree candidates.  Presentation and certification of master\u2019s and baccalaureate degree candidates were made by the deans of each of the university\u2019s colleges: Dr. Martin Slann, Arts and Sciences; Dr. James Lumpkin, Business and Technology; Dr. Wesley Hickey, Education and Psychology; Dr. James Nelson, Engineering; and Dr. Yong Tai Wang, Nursing and Health Sciences.
