KETK reports Yeakley got to see his extended family lining the streets and riding alongside him in fire engines. \u201cHe\u2019s been in Dallas this whole time and we\u2019re just glad to have him coming back home and being part of our family,\u201d said Lindale Fire Chief Cory Crowell.  <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>The signs which were raised, the flags waved, and the sirens ringing out across the city only reaffirmed what his daughter Nicole Cornish already knew. \u201cMy dad has become this hometown hero but for me; I always knew that my dad\u2019s a hero. He\u2019s made a huge difference in a lot of people\u2019s lives, I think that\u2019s why people are showing up to welcome him home because he\u2019s a really amazing man,\u201d said Cornish. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s amazing. I can\u2019t believe all the support we received from the community. It\u2019s overwhelming; I don\u2019t know what to say, just thank everyone. Thank you all very much,\u201d said Yeakley.
