KETK reports the gruesome discovery was made on October 30 when a person who lived in the area of Farm Road 90 was trying to rescue a great Dane. A sack filled with nine dead puppies was located near the dog. Seven of the animals inside were decapitated.<!--more-->   <\/p>\n<p>Because of what&#8217;s termed the repulsive nature of the crime, the Crime Stoppers board has authorized a $1,000 reward for anonymous tips about who killed the puppies.  &#8220;This crime was beyond disgusting,&#8221; said Kathy Smith, president of the Van Zandt County Crime Stoppers. &#8220;There are animal rescue organizations in this county that would have gladly taken unwanted puppies. These poor animals did not deserve to die such a horrible death.&#8221;  <\/p>\n<p>The Van Zandt County Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line number is 903-567-STOP (567-7867).  Tipsters can also go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanzandtcrimestoppers.org\" rel=\"nofollow\">http:\/\/www.vanzandtcrimestoppers.org<\/a> to submit information online, from mobile phones or computers.
