Officials say the chase occurred around 4:00 Saturday morning and ended off Farm Road 850 in the southeastern portion of the county. According to KETK, Sheriff Larry Smith says a deputy attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle and the driver of the vehicle refused to stop, leading the deputy on a short chase. Smith says during the pursuit, the driver took a wrong turn onto a dead end, bringing the chase to a halt. As the deputy was getting out of his patrol car, the suspect driver reversed into the deputy, pinning him to the patrol car, according to the sheriff.   <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>The deputy then reportedly fired a shot into the vehicle that hit the 17-year driver. Both the deputy and the driver suspect were taken to a local hospital for treatment.  The deputy and suspect have since been released from the hospital, and the suspect was taken into custody.  Along with the 17-year-old driver suspect were two passengers, 17 and 15 years old.  The names of the suspect and passengers were not immediately released.
