S. Marshals Task Force executed an arrest warrant on a sex offender at his residence on County Road 384 in the northeastern portion of Smith County.  According to a news release, Nicholas George Heintz, 60, of Tyler, is accused of failure to register as a sex offender in Smith County.   Officials say Heintz has gone by different names in the past such as John David Carver and Nicholas Vaughn Banner.  He has a criminal history in California, Utah, Oregon, Arizona, and now, Texas. According to KETK, Heintz was jailed on $500,000 bond. <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>The Agencies of the U. S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force (Tyler Division) that assisted in this investigation included the Smith County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Smith County Precinct 4 Constable&#8217;s Office,  and the United States Marshal Service.
