The Temple Daily Telegram reports a Bell County grand jury indicted David Gene Risner on Wednesday on one count of capital murder of a peace officer in the June 19 death of Chief Lee Dixon. Risner is in jail on no bond. Jail records don&#8217;t list an attorney. Risner is accused of killing Dixon when the chief went to talk to him after a person filed a complaint saying Risner pulled a gun during a dispute. Risner served in law enforcement for almost 19 years.
