That announcement comes from Dr. Alisa White, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs.  He will follow professor and Department of Human Resource Development chair Dr. Jerry W. Gilley, who has served as interim dean since July 2013.   <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cLumpkin has excellent industry and academic experience, as well as an extensive track record of building programs, mentoring faculty and fundraising,\u201d White said. \u201cLet me also offer deep appreciation for the strong leadership provided by Dr. Gilley, who served with distinction as interim dean.
