MARSHALL \u2014 A change is coming to the Marshall Police Department. Interim Chief Leland J. Benoit is retiring effective this Friday. Marshall\u2019s acting city manager, Kenneth \u201cBuzz\u201d Snyder, says, \u201cObviously, I tried to talk him out of it. After a long period of time of visiting and trying to talk him out of it, he still made the decision this is what he wanted to do.\u201d Snyder says a lengthy search for a Marshall police chief has been underway, but that process is expected to take at least another month to six weeks to complete.
