Ellis, president\/CEO of the East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System. &#8220;This award honors these team members and the programs that define our workplace culture.&#8221;  <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;150 Great Places to Work&#8221; article cites ETMC&#8217;s employee-driven programs that benefit its team members.  These include the ETMC Helping Hands program, a crisis fund that has distributed more than $730,000 in funding since 2001 to Tyler area team members and their families. Additional programs include the ETMC WOW! team member recognition system and an employee activities committee that plans events throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>Becker\u2019s Healthcare editorial team conducts research, considers nominations and evaluates organizations based on their benefits, workplace culture, professional development opportunities and previous recognition for workplace excellence. The 150 organizations in the 2014 list include hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, physician groups and other healthcare organizations.
