A judge in Lufkin on Monday sentenced 45-year-old Calvin Rushing of Alto. Rushing in March was convicted of aggravated robbery in the May 2012 holdup. Investigators say Rushing held the spear-like object and had a towel on his head when he forced unharmed employees into a back room while stealing money and beer. Surveillance video helped lead to Rushing.
