KETK reports his funeral was at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler.   Seaton passed away last Thursday after a two-year battle with cancer.    He was known for having a great sense of humor and exhibiting excellence on the job.   In addition to his work in Smith County, Seaton served four years as a sergeant in Vietnam for the United States Marines.   He started working as the county&#8217;s fire marshal in 1999.   <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>Supporters note that Seaton served on numerous committees.  They say he also made suggestions and presented ideas within the county, the fire department, and the emergency services districts. Seaton was termed a great benefit to the county, and colleagues say it&#8217;s hard to see the county without him.   Instead of flowers, the family asks that donations in Seaton&#8217;s honor be made to the Smith County Firefighters Association.
