LONGVIEW \u2014 The president and CEO of an East Texas business died in a plane crash that occurred Friday morning near a Lowe\u2019s store in northeast Florida. KETK reports the pilot, Richard Carrera, 73, was trying to gain altitude after a touch-and-go landing near the airport, but the plane\u2019s engine stalled. Carrera and his passenger, Malcolm Clevenstine, 71, were both taken to a local hospital. Clevenstine was president and CEO of Warfab in Longview. He died Friday night.
