Taken into custody just after 3:30 Sunday morning was Darel Eugene Bean, 43.  He had been accused of stealing items from a convenience store in the 100 block of South Access Road. KETK reports as officers started to search Bean, he is said to have started a fight and broke an officer&#8217;s thumb. When they got in under control, they are said to have found drugs and items taken from the store.
