The mishap was reported shortly after 9:15 Sunday night in the 1600 block of South Vine. The pickup truck was heading south on Vine Street when the victim was hit. Tyler police say the man was not at a crosswalk when the accident occurred. The driver remained at the scene and talked with investigating officers.
