Paxton says his platform relates to defending the state against federal intrusion as outlined in the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.  &#8220;I think that&#8217;s become a critical role for the attorney general in this state,&#8221; said Paxton during a phone interview.  &#8220;If we don&#8217;t push back on our 10th Amendment rights, the federal government will completely intrude, both economically and politically, into the state.&#8221;  Paxton says a prime example of this has been his fight against Obamacare.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Paxton has also served in the Texas House.  He says he has been one of the state&#8217;s most conservative lawmakers, if not the most conservative &#8212; and he considers himself the most conservative candidate in the attorney general race.
