\"TxDOT<\/a>TYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in Smith County by the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation. <\/p>\n

SMITH COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews on Monday are scheduled to perform pavement-texturing operations on westbound Interstate Highway 20 between Lavender Road and U.S. Highway 69. On Tuesday and for the rest of the week, crews will move to perform the same operation on Farm Road 346 between Blackjack and Troup. A second crew is scheduled to perform edge work on U.S. Highway 69 north of Tyler between Tyler Pipe and Interstate 20. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone. <\/p>\n

GREGG COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews on Monday are scheduled to resume pavement-repair work on State Highway 42 between Interstate Highway 20 and Farm Road 1252. Both the eastbound and westbound on-ramps will be closed on Monday while the work is in progress. Off-ramps will not be affected. On Tuesday, the crew is scheduled to move to Gladewater to similar repairs on U.S. Highway 80 between Loop 485 and the Upshur County Line. The work in Gladewater is scheduled to last several weeks. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.<\/p>\n

HENDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make base and pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 175 between Farm Road 804 and Farm Road 315. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic. <\/p>\n

VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform fog seal operations on U.S. Highway 80 between Wills Point and Edgewood, followed by the same work later this week or early next week on Interstate Highway 20 between Farm Road 1255 and the Smith County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones. <\/p>\n

CHEROKEE COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge and shoulder work on Farm Road 747 north of U.S. Highway 79. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic. <\/p>\n

ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 319 between State Highway 294 and the end of state maintenance. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic. <\/p>\n

RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue edge work on U.S. Highway 259 between Farm Road 850 and Loop 571 in Henderson. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress.
