According to KETK, just before 3:15 Tuesday afternoon, officers responded to the intersection of State Highway 135 and Goforth Road to a report of a major two-vehicle traffic crash. Initial investigation revealed an SUV traveling southbound on SH 135 struck a car which entered the intersection from the westbound lane of Goforth Road. The driver and only occupant of the car was identified as Oren Owens, 78, of Kilgore. The driver of the SUV was identified as Bobby Green, 81, of Gladewater. The sole passenger in the SUV was identified as Lilly Green, 79, of Gladewater. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Lifesaving efforts were made by Kilgore Police, Kilgore Fire, and Champion EMS with all involved parties. Lilly Green was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The drivers were also taken to an area medical center. Green has serious injuries and Owens sustained critical injuries. The Kilgore Police Department Major Crash Investigative Team responded to the scene and is investigating the crash.
