KETK reports the new healthcare bill is creating uncertainty for their future, so the senator has a plan. \u201cWhat we need to do is empower people to make their own healthcare choices by having affordable alternatives for them and their families,\u201d says Cornyn. He believes that a government- regulated program is not the answer, but rather one that focuses on two main points: \u201cbringing down the cost through using market and choice, and making sure the doctor patient relationship is respected.\u201d <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Cornyn believes business owners do need to prepare themselves for what lies ahead during the next three years of Obama\u2019s presidency. \u201cUnfortunately, what they\u2019re having to do is to make very hard decisions in terms of cutting down the size of their work force to come beneath the 50 employee cap,\u201d Cornyn remarked. While the city of Tyler is currently booming in economic and job growth, Cornyn says Obamacare could have a long-lasting negative effect. He says, \u201c30% of our work force is tied to the medical sector; it could impact our economy at the macro level.
