Rose Queen Rachel Clyde cut the ribbon on the festivities Thursday morning.   Rachel says she doesn&#8217;t think people realize how much the festival does for the community.  She told KTBB, &#8220;It brings so many people to Tyler, and so they have to stay in hotels obviously&#8230;It&#8217;s great for our economy and brings so much money in.&#8221;  On a more personal note regarding her reign as Queen, Rachel says, &#8220;It&#8217;s really been special just to get to see kind of another side of it.  I&#8230;didn&#8217;t realize all of the tradition that actually goes into everything, and I&#8217;ve just really learned so much about our community throughout the whole process.   It&#8217;s been really neat.&#8221;  <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>The Festival includes a variety of activities each year: the Ladies\u2019 and Men\u2019s Luncheons, the Queen\u2019s Tea, the Rose Parade, and lots more.
