Austin State University in May. The Daily Sentinel reports Kevin Garcia, 19, of Nacogdoches was charged this week with three counts of criminally negligent homicide. Garcia was driving a Ford Escape with the three others as passengers when he attempted a U-turn on a Nacogdoches highway. The Escape pulled in front of an 18-wheeler and was struck. The passengers all were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say toxicology reports for Garcia came back negative for drugs and alcohol. A Rusk County grand jury is scheduled to hear the case Sept. 2.
