Goza\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-266435\" \/><\/a>GILMER \u2014 A Gladewater woman has been sentenced to 10 years&#8217; probation for theft from Union Grove Water Supply Corporation. KETK reports Janna L. Goza, 45, had pleaded guilty in Gilmer&#8217;s 115th District Court to theft of a property over $20,000 but less than $100,000.  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p>In January, 2012, the Union Grove Water Board members contacted the Upshur County District Attorney&#8217;s Office concerning questionable transactions involving the Union Grove Water Supply Corporation finances.  This led to months of investigation by DA Investigator Jon Warren, with assistance from the Water Supply Corporation business clerk, Cathy Harris, into missing cash payments and unauthorized charges to the corporation credit card.  Warren learned Goza, who managed to gain full control over the corporation finances, had taken over $40,000 over a two-year period.  <\/p>\n<p>Authorities say Goza falsified business meeting minutes, altered paychecks, and had not deposited some of the customer cash payments with the bank deposits for the Water Supply Corporation.  Goza got a felony conviction and was put on probation to allow her to repay the UGWSC customers the restitution.
