According to KETK, the incident happened around 6:45 Wednesday morning when a White Oak police officer pulled a car over. Slaughter was said to be acting suspiciously when he took off. He eventually lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of Old Longview Highway (Highway 80) and Texas Street in Clarksville City. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
