Officials say it happened around 10:20 p.m. on Highway 31, 8\/10 of a mile east of Tyler.   A Dodge Neon driven by 22-year-old Jose Espinoza-Gallegos of Tyler was traveling westbound and struck a horse.   Espinoza-Gallegos was pronounced dead Friday.   He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.  Two passengers were injured and listed in fair condition.
