Cpt. Mike Hanson tells KETK that the man is Frederick Perkins, 46, of Tyler. He and a woman were fishing on the lake at the time. The woman told authorities that Perkins was trying to remove a string of fish from the side of the boat when he fell in. It still is not certain whether the boat capsized or if he fell over the side. At some point, they both fell into the water. The woman was wearing a life jacket, but Perkins was not. He attempted to swim to shore, but unable to make it. <\/p>\n<p>A witness saw the incident happen, and directed first responders to the location. Henderson County Sheriff officials, Noonday Fire and Rescue, and game wardens from Henderson County and Smith County aided in the search for Perkins.
