The crash happened around 1:15 Monday afternoon. DPS Trooper Jean Dark says a passenger car was struck by a pickup after pulling onto the northbound side of the highway. The driver of the car was killed. The driver of the pickup was hospitalized for what were termed \u201cnon-incapacitating injuries\u201d; his passenger was treated at the scene. The northbound lanes were blocked for a time but reopened late Monday afternoon.
