TYLER — Nearly a dozen cars at a Smith County salvage yard have been destroyed by fire. The blaze was reported around 6:30 Wednesday night at TKO Auto Salvage on County Road 2767 in Tyler. The fire was said to have started in a burn barrel on neighboring property, and then spread to the salvage yard. According to KETK, authorities say they’re still trying to locate the person who started the fire; they say that person will be issued a citation for reckless destruction of property.
