There was a touch of Hollywood as the college honored &#8220;individuals and organizations who have given unselfishly of themselves for a better Texas College and a better city of Tyler.&#8221; This year&#8217;s honorees were Congressman Ralph Hall; B.J. Hornbostel, East Texas Regional Manager of United Heritage Credit Union; multifaceted businessman\/volunteer H. Lanier Richey (posthumously) and his widow, Marilyn; the Rose City Civitan Club; and longtime educator\/volunteer Dr. Bobby J. Stinson. The event also recognized 16 scholarship recipients who are students at Texas College. <\/p>\n<p>For the third straight year, actor Danny Glover was on hand to offer his support for the college, as was actor, director, producer, and humanitarian Marc Gomes.
