ATASCOSA COUNTY \u2014 Two East Texas men have been seriously injured in an oilfield accident in Atascosa County. KETK reports it happened just before 7:00 Monday night at an oilfield site on a ranch about 16 miles south of Charlotte. That\u2019s in the southwestern portion of the county. The men have been identified as William Crabb, 30, of Tyler, and Christopher Barrios, 29, of Chandler. Crabb and Barrios were working on a trailer with what officials called a \u201cpipe gun\u201d used in oilfield work. The equipment exploded while they were handling it. <\/p>\n
Atascosa County Sheriff officials say first responders arrived on scene to find the men severely burned on their arms, faces, and abdomens. They were taken by helicopter to the San Antonio Military Medical Center. As of Tuesday afternoon, there was no word on their conditions.
