Dr. Bobby Ray Nichols is accused of killing his wife of 26 years. Nichols was in court for pretrial motions Monday. Jury selection was set to begin in the case Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>Last summer, Nichols told the Associated Press he regrets fatally shooting his wife. Dr. Nichols said that he misses and loved his wife. He said, \u201cWe just got in a fight and I screwed up and killed her with a gun.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Tyler police arrested Nichols and charged him with the June 29 death of Rosiland Nichols, 71. Nichols said he\u2019s never been in trouble, but after a few drinks with his buddies he came home and his wife began nagging him. Nichols said he doesn\u2019t really \u201cremember what happened\u201d before the shooting.
