Five engines and one Ladder Company, along with a district chief and an investigator, responded to the scene shortly after 7:00 yesterday morning. Fire personnel were able to bring the fire under control quickly and damage was limited to one apartment. The apartment above the fire sustained slight smoke damage. No injuries were reported and previously evacuated residents in the surrounding units were returned to their apartments. The Fire Marshal\u2019s office is conducting the investigation.
