Mario Swain received lethal injection last night for the slaying of Lola Nixon, 46, during a break-in at her home in Longview two days after Christmas in 2002. An unfamiliar truck parked in her neighborhood was tracked back to Swain, and he eventually led police to her body, dumped in the back seat of an abandoned car in a remote area of Gregg County. She\u2019d been beaten with a tire iron, stabbed, and strangled. Swain\u2019s execution was the 13th this year in Texas.
