LUFKIN — A Nacogdoches man is dead after a Monday night wreck on U.S. Highway 59 North. According to KETK, it happened about a half mile north of Winston 8 Ranch Rd, just before 10:00. According to Angelina County DPS officials, two vehicles were involved in the crash. Jamond Rashad Curl, 36, and Stephanie Dionne Chunn, 37, both of Nacogodoches, were driving northbound on Hwy 59 in separate vehicles. Curl was reportedly speeding in a 2003 Cadillac, and hit Chunn’s 2010 Ford SUV. Curl then crossed into the southbound lanes, ran off the roadway and hit a tree. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time. Curl was pronounced dead at the scene around 10:45. Chunn was uninjured.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
