KILGORE \u2014 A pre-kindergarten aide at Kilgore Heights Elementary has been fired following an October 2 injury to a 4-year-old boy, interim Superintendent Dennis Williams reported Tuesday. According to the Longview News-Journal, Williams verified reports that the student was injured when the aide pulled the child\u2019s leg, causing him to fall and hit his head on a shelf. The boy was taken to the school nurse, and his parents were notified, Williams said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe aide is no longer with the district,\u201d Williams said. \u201cThe police, they are still conducting their investigation. And (Child Protective Services), they are conducting their investigation.
