NEW LONDON \u2014 An East Texas student is stabbed in the back on campus. That\u2019s according to West Rusk CCISD Superintendent Tommy Alexander. The student was released from the hospital Friday and is expected back in school next week. Earlier, an official with the school district confirmed that there was a \u201csituation\u201d at the district\u2019s junior high school Thursday. The assistant superintendent for the school district said the event was isolated, and had been resolved, but the school district sent a letter home with sixth- through twelfth-grade students.
