Around noon Friday, Tyler police, fire, and EMS crews responded to the 3400 block of Varsity.  Angela Chantel Hickman, 23, of Dallas, was crossing the roadway on foot from U.T. Tyler heading towards her apartment at 3400 Varsity.  According to police, a pick-up driven by 68-year-old William McClenny of Tyler had just pulled out of a private drive heading westbound on Varsity when Hickman stepped out in front of his vehicle, causing her to be struck. Hickman was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries by EMS.
