After deliberating over 5 hours Wednesday, a jury sentenced Vanessa Ashley Ashford, 28, to 50 years in prison. On Monday, she had pleaded guilty to the March 29th robbery of the Regions Bank at 1810 East Southeast Loop 323. The Shreveport, Louisiana woman decided to let a jury determine her punishment.<\/p>\n<p>The bank was robbed by a woman with a large knife. Witnesses were able to get a partial license plate of the woman&#8217;s car. Tyler Police Officers responding to the area located a black Chevrolet Impala at University\/Lazy Creek in Tyler and initiated a traffic stop.
