The pilot has been identified as Jerome Jaquin, 52, of Mexico. The plane went down about two miles south of Karnack, near State Highway 43. The wreckage was discovered late Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Public Safety reports the airplane was flying from Dekalb, Illinois to Brownsville, Texas when it crashed. It appears as if the plane was caught in a thunderstorm and lost its wings and an engine at 12,000 feet, and then fell to the ground.
