CASS COUNTY — A husband claimed he was protecting his spouse, which led to a shooting. Keith Rondall Boyd, 53, Hughes Springs, intervened in an argument between his wife and stepson and ended the dispute by reportedly shooting the stepson, Larry Joe Sowden, 41. The Cass County Sheriff said Boyd was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
